Rae was born in the Mojave Desert and is currently residing in West Sonoma County. She is an artist, herbalist, and bodyworker. As a bodyworker she is inspired by the imperfections and intricacies of the human form. She learned and studied the body by devoting time to draw it. She finds inspiration in the similarities of all living things, whether the subject matter is human anatomy or animal remains. She has a deep connection to the plant world and spends much of her time working with, connecting to, and drawing plants. Her way of unwinding and taking care of herself is by devoting time to making art. Her primary medium is ink, charcoal, and paper.
